Mailboxes (Three Photographs) | Victor Rakmil Photography

My favourite happens to be the first photograph for its purity.. go visit there

I like to shoot series, in this case a series of photos of mailboxes. I’ve done this with doors windows and other things. Once there are enough photos I can cull them further until I have a coherent group of photographs of both the same quality and direction. Sometimes it’s a bit more challenging than it seems. It’s like collecting things, you don’t always find what you want and it can take some time until you have a sufficient number of photos that fit your criteria.

Peace, Peace, Peace | Frank Solanki

Peace, Peace, peace

I walked around with a gun in my hand

Looking for Peace

Please, please, please

Would someone show me Peace?

I met a boy and I asked him

If he had any Peace

He said, “I only have a little drum for a toy

I play it all the time

It helps the day pass away

But Peace? No, Sir. I haven’t heard of that toy

You might as well go ahead and ask some other boy”

I went ahead with a gun in my hand

Looking for Peace[ pacet et bene]

Are You Talking To Me?! — Through Open Lens

F/6.3, 1/250, ISO 450. Northern Cardinal

What did the tree say after a long winter?

What a re-leaf.

Interesting Fact: The oldest recorded Northern Cardinal was a female, and was 15 years, 9 months old when she was found in Pennsylvania.

I especially like the second of the 4.

He writes

” I am really enjoying the Fuji XT-2 for this sort of photography.
It’s nice to have a small camera to carry every day.
Not sure that will be true at -20C or in snow drifts, but time will tell.
This kind of intimate landscape photography, […]”
